About Me
How I got started
I was 16, working at a construction supply company in the early summer of 2020. It was hot, and the cab forklift I used didn’t have working air-conditioning! I started thinking about tinting it, I’ve always liked the way it looked, not to mention the cooling benefits! I talk to my boss, watched a few YouTube videos, and I tinted my forklift. An employee of the company saw what I did, and he got me to do some tint on his truck. That’s how it happened, I started tinting for people. I was hooked!
I researched and did more small jobs. My first full tint job was a disaster, it took me 7 hours, and I did the back window 3 times. I was frustrated and I thought I wouldn’t go back, but I stuck to it. I did a lot more research and with every new job I did I got better and better. My boss even had me tint some equipment and bigger trucks for the company. Word of mouth spread fast and when I wasn’t working my construction job I was tinting. I had a great side hustle going and I didn’t even advertise!
The support of my family and friends even my co-workers was awesome. I really enjoyed my construction job and my co-workers, but I knew I didn’t want it to be long term.
Early in 2022 I tore my ACL while playing volleyball. I had to get surgery, forcing me to quit my construction job. God always has a way of working these things out for good. Tinting is not super labor intensive, so 6 weeks post-opp I was back at it. I knew then and there this is what I want to do!
